Updated for this school year

We have made some changes to the requirements to our backpacks and school lunch boxes, which can be found on the following pages.

Parents and students are expected to be familiar with each aspect required for the uniform, and take responsibility to dress accordingly each day. Missing or inappropriate items will result in reminders to students and parents

Students are required to wear uniforms daily, with the exception of Fridays, which is Spirit Day and gives students the option of wearing spirit wear sold by the PTC, through the Spirit Store.

Students in grades Kindergarten through 12 must wear formal uniforms every Monday for chapel and for special assemblies and events as deemed appropriate.  Advanced notice will be given for events other than the usual Monday chapel.

Backpack & Lunch Boxes– All Grades
Pre- K through 4th grade- Backpacks:  Students may choose between our school plaid (sold through Parker Uniforms) or any solid color backpack (no designs/caricatures) with the child’s name, initials, monogram, or luggage tag. The school logo is optional.

Lunch boxes can be any color or design ex. butterflies, airplanes, etc. (no characters/caricatures, nor skulls).  They do not have to be monogrammed, but they must be marked with the child's name.

5th Grade through Upper Grades-
Backpacks:  Students may choose any solid color backpack (no designs/caricatures) with the child’s name, initials, monogram, or luggage tag.
Lunch boxes can be any color or design ex. butterflies, airplanes, etc. (no characters/caricatures, nor skulls).  They do not have to be monogrammed, but they must be marked with the child's name.

Weekly Schedule
  • Monday: Formal Dress Day (K-12th)
  • Tuesday - Thursday: Regular Uniform Day
  • Friday: Spirit Day

Uniform Highlights
  • Hair must be clean, neat and not extreme in color or style.
  • All clothing must be of appropriate size, worn modestly, and in good repair.
  • Hats are not permitted during the school day.
  • Please Note: Parents are required to mark their child’s name in all clothing and shoes so misplaced items can be easily returned. This is important for all clothing items, but especially for winter coats and jackets. Parker Uniforms carries iron on and sew on labels.
  • We expect our students to be well groomed and have shoes tied and shirt tails tucked in at all times.
  • Socks: No “not” socks (ones that do not show above the shoe) will be permitted for girls or boys on any day.
  • Extreme Cold Weather: In the rare case of extreme cold temperatures in San Antonio, students may wear heavy jackets or coats, which are beyond the required embroidered outerwear.  Otherwise, all outerwear including jackets, sweaters, and vests should be embroidered with BFSMS or the school crest.
  • Labels: All removable outerwear, lunchboxes, music cases,etc... must be labeled.  We have had success with the washable stickers made through http://www.identamelabels.com/ that can be adhered to cloth, and can be washed in a regular washing machine without coming off.  We suggest putting a label on the inner tag of all outerwear as well as lunchboxes, music cases, etc...

Girls
  • Girls with bangs shall wear them no longer than the eyebrows. No extreme hair accessories are permitted. Parker Uniforms and Lands’ End offer hand bands that match our school plaid and navy.
  • Earrings - stud and post only.
  • Multiple necklaces and/or bracelets are not acceptable.
  • No tattoos or piercings other than ear lobes.
  • Wristwatches without sound effects may be worn.
  • Light make-up only permitted for middle school, with no extreme colors of nail polish or lip gloss.
  • Friday blue denim, navy, or khaki colored shorts or skirts need to be finger-tip length (absolutely no short shorts).  Please Note:  Shorts must be neatly hemmed.

  • Belts are required for all pants with belt loops in grades 1-12.
  • Boys in grades 1-12 must have all shirts tucked in.
